Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed safety Taylor Mays on Monday.

The club placed Mays on injured reserve because of a shoulder injury suffered in a late October game against the New York Jets. He had started one of the Bengals' games this season and compiled 19 tackles.

A native of Seattle, the 26-year-old Southern California product was in his third season with the Bengals after spending his rookie campaign of 2010 with San Francisco.

In 50 appearances over four seasons, he has totaled 89 tackles and one forced fumble.
