Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cincinnati Bengals placed punter Kevin Huber on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.

Huber, a Cincinnati native, was the recipient of a vicious, illegal, and unpenalized hit to the helmet from Steelers linebacker Terence Garvin on a punt return TD by Antonio Brown during Pittsburgh's 30-20 win on Sunday.

The force of the blow gave Huber a broken jaw and, according to several reports, cracked one of his vertebra.

Entering the game, Huber ranked fourth in the NFL with 41.6 yards per punt.

Cincinnati signed former Buffalo Bills punter Shawn Powell to replace Huber.
