Maybe it was the short turnaround time. Maybe they were just due for one of those days. The Bengals went from their best game of the season to one of their worst, and got more bad injury news along the way.

They had their four-game winning streak snapped in Miami on Thursday night with a 22-20 loss in overtime. The game ended when Andy Dalton was sacked at the goal line.

A day later, a medical test confirmed that All-Pro defensive tackle Geno Atkins tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the first half. The Bengals already are missing top cornerback Leon Hall, middle linebacker Rey Maualuga and safety Taylor Mays.

The Bengals (6-3) need their few days off.
