Toulouse, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Bastia claimed its third Ligue 1 win in its last four outings on Tuesday, earning a 3-1 victory over 10-man Toulouse at the Stade Municipal de Toulouse.
Djibril Cisse got the visitors off the mark just 11 minutes into the affair, logging his first goal Bastia since joining the club in January.
Toulouse managed to pull one back through Eden Ben Basat in the 24th minute, but Francois Modesto struck in the second minute of first-half stoppage time to restore Bastia's one-goal margin.
Things went from bad to worse for Toulouse in the second period as the home side was reduced to 10 men behind Clement Chantome's 74th-minute red card, and Bastia took advantage of the extra man as Gianni Bruno converted a late penalty to make sure of the three points.
Bastia moves to 10th place in the French top flight by improving to 33 points on the season, bringing the club three points clear of Toulouse.
