NEW YORK (AP) With Brook Lopez in foul trouble, Andrea Bargnani picked a perfect time to give the Brooklyn Nets his best game of the season.
Bargnani scored a season-high 23 points, Thaddeus Young had 18 points and 11 rebounds, and the Nets beat the Philadelphia 76ers 100-91 on Thursday night.
''It was a good win because in our situation we take every win,'' Bargnani said. ''At the end we got the `W' and that's all that matters at the end of the day.''
Just back from a hamstring injury, the former No. 1 overall pick played 23 minutes. Lopez was limited to just 19, taking only three shots and scoring seven points.
Brooklyn won for the sixth time in its last seven home games. Philadelphia fell to 0-13 on the road.
''We definitely had to win the game,'' Young said. ''We're supposed to beat the teams that we're supposed to beat. Everybody put us in favor of beating the Sixers.''
Shane Larkin scored 14 points and Bojan Bogdanovic had 10 for the Nets.
''(I'm) just playing with confidence,'' Larkin said. ''My coaches and teammates instill all the confidence in me and tell me to take the shots and make the plays for us. They've put me in a position to be successful and I couldn't be happier that everybody believes in me the way they do and I just want go out there and do well for them so they keep believing in me.''
Jahlil Okafor had 22 points and 10 rebounds, and T.J McConnell scored 17 points for the 76ers.
This was the second game for Okafor since returning from a two-game suspension.
''Just trying to get my rhythm back,'' Okafor said. ''I'm trying to play more games and just getting (my) flow back. Tonight that was the case. I'm going to try to keep getting better and play every game.''
The Nets set the tone early by allowing only 13 points in the first quarter, the fewest they've given up in any period this season. Philadelphia began the game 0 for 15 on 3-pointers before McConnell made one with 4:11 left in the second quarter.
Brooklyn opened the fourth quarter with an 18-6 run and never looked back. Larkin scored eight during that run.
''We started the period with our starting group and I thought that we ended the third period, those guys were fatigued,'' 76ers coach Brett Brown said. ''They had a great effort. That group was great. You could tell they were fatigued. So we started the fourth period with the group that started the game and tried to get off to a good start and we just didn't do that.''

76ers: Michael Preston, Philadelphia's director of public relations, denied a report of owner Josh Harris having any intention of selling the team. ''Josh has said repeatedly that he hopes to own the Sixers for many years and keep it in the family for many years. He loves owning the team and the (report) is inaccurate and not true.'' . Tony Wroten started his first game this season and is on a 16-minute restriction.
Nets: Young fell just shy of this third straight 20-point game. That would have been his longest streak since he had six straight for Philadelphia in March 2014. ... Coach Lionel Hollins wants more ball movement on offense. ''I try to put some stuff in that would get the ball from side to side so we could initiate, take the ball from one side, bring the ball back versus just come down one shot, a quick shot or just a pass and a shot,'' he said.

The Sixers were just 4 of 31 (13 percent) from 3-point range tonight. It was the first time in Nets history an opponent shot 30 or more 3s and made fewer than eight.
