Barcelona, Spain – Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez returned from international duty with Chile with a "small tear in his left thigh," and will be sidelined this week against Getafe in La Liga according to his club.
Sanchez played for Chile in a 3-1 defeat to Colombia on Tuesday in 2014 World Cup qualifying. Chile is currently fifth in South American qualifying. He has played in the first two games for Barcelona, recording one assist.
The 23-year-old Sanchez played 25 times for Barcelona in La Liga last season.
