Baghdatis beats Gremelmayr in Unicef quarterfinals

DEN BOSCH, Netherlands – Marcos Baghdatis has won his Unicef Open quarterfinal on his 26th birthday, beating Denis Gremelmayr of Germany 6-1, 6-0 and awaiting his semifinal later in the day.

The second-seeded Cypriot's quarterfinal was postponed because of rain Thursday. He plays fourth-seeded Ivan Dodig of Croatia on Friday for a place in Sunday's final.

On the women's side, fifth-seeded Dominika Cibulkova completed a 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 quarterfinal victory over second-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova. Their match was suspended Thursday night with Cibulkova leading 3-0 in the final set.
