The Colorado Avalanche signed forward Patrick Bordeleau to a three-year contract on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old totaled five points and 70 penalty minutes in 46 games for Colorado this past season.

A former fourth-round selection of Minnesota in the 2004 draft, Bordeleau joined the franchise in 2009, playing three-plus years for Colorado's AHL affiliate in Lake Erie before breaking into the NHL back in January.
