Birmingham, England – Aston Villa has confirmed that long loan, subject to FIFA approval.
It is expected that the world soccer governing body will ratify the loan deal by Wednesday, making Makoun eligible for Champions League play. Olympiakos has been drawn in Group F along with Arsenal, Marseille, and Borussia Dortmund.
The Cameroon international joined Aston Villa from Lyon in January and contracted to the English club until 2014.
