Oakland, CA – The Oakland Athletics placed pitcher Jim Miller on the paternity list Friday.
The 30-year-old right-hander has a 2-1 record with a 1.78 ERA in 19 appearances out of the bullpen this season.
To fill the roster spot, Oakland recalled left-handed pitcher Pedro Figueroa from Triple-A Sacramento.
Figueroa will be joining the A's for the third time this year and has a 1.50 ERA and no decisions in nine relief appearances.
