There are good recruiting weekends and there are great recruiting weekends, Arkansas just had the latter this weekend, as four prospects committed to the latest Razorback class with National Signing Day less than 72 hours away. The Hogs now have 20 prospects committed to the 2016 recruiting class following the big weekend.

Elite junior college defensive back Joseph Putu, Georgia linebacker Dee Walker, Texas safety Micahh Smith and junior college offensive lineman Paul Ramirez all pledged to Arkansas this weekend during visits to Fayetteville.

According to 247Sports, the things that really stood out for the prospects were the facilities and the fan base of the Razorbacks.

Putu is rated as a three-star cornerback and the No. 9 JUCO cornerback in the nation by 247Sports. The sophomore had 55 tackles, five forced fumbles, eight fumble recoveries and recorded an incredible 10 interceptions this season at the junior college level.

Walker is also rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports and holds offers from Florida, Tennessee, Iowa, Nebraska and Pitt among many others.

Smith is a three-star prospect according to 247Sports Composite Ratings, however only had offers from a handful of FCS level teams. The safety prospect had 120 tackles, three interceptions, seven pass breakups and a forced fumble as a high school senior last season.

Ramirez failed to generate much buzz early in the recruiting process but had gained offers from Louisville, Indiana and Purdue among others in recent weeks.
