Josiah Turner, who has started 16 of the last 17 games for Arizona, has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules.

Wildcats head coach Sean Miller made the announcement Wednesday, one day before the team is scheduled to play in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament.

"I am disappointed in Josiah for his actions. Unfortunately this suspension comes at a time of great excitement and opportunity for our team. However, the standards of our program will not be compromised under any circumstances," Miller said. "Hopefully, Josiah will learn a valuable lesson from this experience."

Turner has averaged 6.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 29 games this season for Arizona, which is the fourth seed in the conference tourney after going 21-10 in the regular season and 12-6 in Pac-12 play.
