Anthony Ireland didn't come off the floor Saturday night for Loyola Marymount, playing the full 40 minutes and scored 27 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists to lead the Lions past Cal State Bakersfield 73-66.

Ireland missed only two shots all night, going 8 for 9 from the field including a perfect 3 for 3 from beyond the arc, and was 8 for 9 from the free-throw line.

Loyola Marymount (7-6) trailed 5-0 to begin the game but went on a 17-6 run capped by Ireland's 3-pointer to make it 17-11 with 9:55 remaining in the first half. The Lions trailed 41-40 mid-way through the second half but used a 16-4 run to retake the lead and didn't look back.

Ashley Hamilton scored 14 points for Loyola Marymount and Ayodeji Egbeyemi had 12 points and nine rebounds.

Brandon Barnes scored 22 points including four made 3-pointers to lead Cal State Bakersfield (5-10).
