Manchester, England – Manchester United midfielder Anderson 5 weeks because of a hamstring injury.
Anderson had only just returned from a two-month injury absence when he complained of a tight hamstring following an appearance in a 3-2 defeat to Athletic Bilbao in the first leg of the Europa League last week.
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has now confirmed that the former FC Porto man will sit out for at least a month in an effort to avoid further damage.
Anderson has featured in 10 Premiership matches for the Red Devils this term, scoring two goals.
