Madrid, Spain (SportsNetwork.com) - Rayo Vallecano defender Antonio Amaya is set for another spell on the sidelines after he sustained a fractured metatarsal in his left foot.
Amaya had just returned to action last Friday to make his Rayo debut in the team's 1-0 win over Granada, but after suffering the injury, he underwent tests to confirm that he will now have to wait until December to make another appearance.
The 31-year-old joined Rayo from Real Betis over the summer, but he didn't feature for the club until the Granada match because of a thigh problem.
And the latest setback will likely prevent him from playing in Rayo's next five La Liga matches with the club sitting in the middle of the table.
