AJ Pacher sank the game-winning layup just ahead of the buzzer Sunday as Wright State rallied late in the second half to defeat Oakland 72-71.

Trailing by 10 with barely 2 minutes to play, Wright State (15-13, 7-6 Horizon League) scored 13 of the next 15 points to take its first lead of the second half on a pair Cole Darling free throws that made it 70-69 with 21 seconds to go. Duke Mondy briefly put Oakland (10-18, 5-8) back on top with a pair of free throws, before Pacher drove inside at the other end for the winning layup.

Darling finished with 21 points, while Pacher scored 15 and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds for the Raiders, who shot 50 percent from the field.

Oakland was led by Mondy's 20 points and seven rebounds. Ralph Hill had 15 points and Kahlil Felder 14 in the loss.
