Emmanuel Adebayor has admitted he will need to use Google to find out more about his new club Crystal Palace.

Adebayor signed a short-term deal with the Eagles on Tuesday, which ended a five-month spell without a club for the 31-year-old former Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham striker.

But the Togo international revealed he has a bit of homework to do in order to get up to speed on Palace.

"I don't know much about the club but it's better to learn," he told the club's website. "So I'll be going on Google and finding out more about them.

"Whatever the team want to achieve I will follow them. I want to help them win games and that's what I'm here for

"They're not far from the top five and that'll be difficult to reach as there are a lot of big games to play, but let's get out there, have fun and enjoy ourselves."

Adebayor, who had also been linked with Watford before opting for Selhurst Park, is set to go straight into the squad for Saturday's fourth round FA Cup tie against Stoke.
