The Atlantic Coast Conference will join the West Coast Conference in using an experimental instant replay rule during its baseball tournament.

The NCAA Baseball Rules Committee this week approved the ACC's use of the instant replay rule originally put in place for the College World Series.

Umpires can use video to review whether a ball originally called foul was actually fair after touching the ground beyond first or third base, if an apparent home run is fair or foul, if a batted ball left the field for a home run or a ground-rule double, and if a spectator interfered with a ball on a home run.

The committee in October approved the West Coast Conference's request to use experimental instant replay. The committee said it wants feedback on how well the rule works.
