A bomb squad robot was called into action at a popular Ohio water park to defuse what was later determined to be a child's science project comprising an egg placed inside a bottle, the Sandusky Register reported.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office special unit was scrambled Thursday afternoon after a report of a suspicious package next to car in the parking lot of the African-themed Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) west of Cleveland.

The bomb squad eventually determined there was no risk from what they believed to be a child's science project.

The abandoned two-liter bottle was filled with foam and sealed with tape with the apparent aim of protecting the egg inside from a fall.

The egg remained in its capsule, the Register reported, and was not detonated by the bomb squad.
