On Friday's Power Play with Chris Stirewalt, Rep. Jeff Landry, R-La., talked about why he may be the only member of Congress who is in Washington before the start of the holiday weekend.
The freshman lawmaker also took to task his Democratic colleagues in the other chamber for bemoaning the lack of progress in budget negotiations. "Any Democratic senator that makes any comment--he really has no place to speak," Landry said. He later expressed confidence in his party's leadership team and praised House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's decision to leave the talks led by the vice president.
