Utah Gov. Gary Herbert reportedly plans to sign a measure on Tuesday that labels pornography as a “public health hazard.”

The Republican governor is signing one resolution and one bill relating to what lawmakers describe as a “crisis.”

The resolution calls porn a health hazard that leads to a “broad spectrum of individual and public health impacts and societal harms,” and urges more education and prevention efforts to address the “epidemic” in the state.

The bill is more specific, requiring that computer technicians who find child porn in the course of their work report it to law enforcement.

The New York Daily News reported that the governor plans to sign the measures Tuesday.
