One of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's top aides has resigned.
Brad Dayspring, Cantor's communications chief who had recently been elevated to deputy chief of staff, is leaving to work for a super PAC supporting House Republican candidates.
Cantor Chief of Staff Steve Stombres confirmed the departure to Fox News.
"Brad has decided to move on. He has been a valuable member of our team and I wish him nothing but the best," he said.
Before joining Cantor's team, Dayspring worked for Reps. Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, and Christopher Smith, R-N.J. He also used to work on the press advance team for former President George W. Bush.
