The Hill’s AB Stoddard said on "Special Report with Bret Baier" Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin could soon change the map of Eastern Europe if he continues with the aggression he has demonstrated in Ukraine.

“If the Europeans tell (the United States) we’re going to do more really steep sanctions if (Putin) goes into eastern Ukraine, basically, they are saying he can have the rest of Ukraine,” she said.

Stoddard was referring to economic sanctions put in place by the United States and its European allies after Russia’s annexation of Crimea from Ukraine last month.

“Whatever has happened to this day has not slowed it down, has not deterred him,” she said.

Stoddard added if Western European countries don’t step up to Putin, it can’t be on the United States to fix the issue alone.
