Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders took shots at Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Friday, accusing him of trying to divide the nation with fear.
"We must bring people together to take on the powerful who've hurt the middle class. Trump is trying to play on fears and divide us up," the Vermont senator wrote on Twitter Friday afternoon.
"I believe we stand together to address the real issues facing this country, not allow them to divide us by race or where we come from," Sanders added.
The only other 2016er to tweet politically on Christmas? Trump himself, who continued his attacks on Republican rival and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, as well as tweeting comments on the Democrats, Veterans Affair and immigration.
