Question #6: Is President Obama disappointed that there are no extra sanctions on Iran?

Obama said he read the articles where it said he was trying to get sanctions and that's not accurate. THe US got what it wanted.

The real story here is consensus in the statement, including Russia (the statement condemns the violent crackdown in Iran after the elections) agreed

There will be a re-evaluation of Iran's posture toward a nuclear weapons policy. It will be discussed at the G20 in September. The international community is opening a door to Iran, if they choose not to walk through the door we have the G8 and potentially other countries that will tell Iran to take further steps.

We provide that door but we're not going to wait indefinitely. Not allow nukes and a breach of int'l treaties and wake up in a worse situation one day.

Iranian leadership look at the G8 statement and realize world opinion is clear
