White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs ended speculation that President Obama would travel to the largest Muslim nation in November during a trip to the region when he attends the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting.  Gibbs announced that the President plans to travel to Indonesia next year to showcase relations between the two countries.  President Obama spoke with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the G20 summit in Pittsburgh last month and the two leaders discussed a visit.

President Obama lived in Indonesia for four years as a young child and attended school in Jakarta.
