President Obama spoke with Supreme Court Justice Stevens Friday after the justice sent a letter announcing his intent to retire.Obama praised Stevens and thanked him for his service on behalf of a "grateful nation."
Vice President Biden also spoke to Justice Stevens, saluting him for his time on the high court.
