Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin asserted Wednesday that Planned Parenthood is targeting minorities, and said some people are more worried about the Confederate flag than they are about the "thousands and thousands of babies … being butchered" by "barbaric" Planned Parenthood.

"Planned Parenthood is in the business of finding targets" and they "attract those who would be perhaps disadvantaged in some ways, and be made to believe that abortion is their only option," said Palin. "That is why ... 80 percent of Planned Parenthood shops are set up in minority neighborhoods. It's tragic that they would make anybody, a minority even, feel that they're not capable enough" to give their children life.

"For them to make ... women feel that they're not capable of [carrying a pregnancy to term] is absolutely atrocious," Palin told Fox News' Bill O'Reilly, her voice breaking.

Although Palin continuously asserted that Planned Parenthood targets minorities she did not make the argument, common in pro-life circles, that Planned Parenthood's founder, Margaret Sanger, was a eugenicist. She seemed at a loss when O'Reilly pressed her on why Planned Parenthood targets minorities.
