{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}President Obama will hold talks in early May with the presidents of Afghanistan and Pakistan in the White House, a U.S. official told Reuters Wednesday.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari will meet separately with Obama and all three leaders will then sit down together in Washington on May 6 and 7, the official said.
Last month, Obama announced a new war strategy for Afghanistan, designed to crush al Qaeda and Taliban militants there and also operating from across the border in Pakistan.
