President Obama has returned to Washington after a four-day visit to the Mideast, his first foreign trip of his second term.

Air Force One landed outside of the capital, at Maryland's Andrews Air Force Base, shortly after 8 p.m. EDT Saturday. The president then traveled to the White House by helicopter.

Obama made his first trip to Israel as president during the visit, arriving in Tel Aviv last Wednesday. He also visited the West Bank and Jordan before heading back to the U.S.
