Obama: Economic Heartbeat Getting Stronger, But More Jobs Needed

President Obama declared Friday that the "economic heartbeat" of the country is getting stronger, but said job growth is still needed on the road to recovery.

The president spoke hours after the Commerce Department released the latest GDP numbers, indicating that the economy grew by 3.2 percent in the first quarter of 2010.

He called the report an important milestone but acknowledged that all unemployed Americans really want to hear is, "You're hired."
