Obama doodles during "important international meetings"

President Obama isn't always paying attention during those major international summits. Instead he's doodling.

The president admitted it himself during an interview Friday with WJLA, bragging that when it comes to his drawing skills he's "pretty good" and enjoys sketching all sorts of things.

"Sometimes when I'm in a big important international meeting and you see me writing stuff down it might be that I'm just drawing some folks," he said.

The left handed president's art skills are not a new phenomenon. In 2007 a doodle he drew while presiding over the U.S. Senate fetched more than $2,000 on eBay. The proceeds went to charity.

President Reagan also couldn't help himself. One doodle he drew and left behind on his desk at a G7 summit in Canada was grabbed by former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who held onto it as a keepsake.
