Race to Watch:

Republican Senate Primary -- Sue Lowden vs. Danny Tarkanian vs. Sharron Angle.

The GOP is determined to defeat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, just as it defeated then-Majority Leader Tom Daschle of South Dakota in 2004.

Reid's opponents accuse him of neglecting Nevada while battling on behalf of President Obama's agenda, particularly on the issues of health care, the stimulus and immigration.

Despite heavy advertising, Reid trails most potential Republican opponents in opinion polls in a state where the economy has tanked and the Big Three GOP challengers have all kinds of appeal.

Former state Assemblywoman Sharron Angle has been endorsed by the Tea Party Express; businessman Danny Tarkanian is the son of nationally known former college basketball Jerry Tarkanian; and former state Sen. Sue Lowden, once the chairwoman of the Nevada Republican Party, is a state powerhouse, though she has been hurt by her statement that patients could barter for health care the way people used to trade chickens for medical attention.

Reid is extremely vulnerable, but the infighting could help him in November; Angle has risen from a negligible showing six weeks ago to a lead both Lowden and Tarkanian, in part because of endorsements and cash from the Tea Party Express and Club for Growth.
