First lady Michelle Obama, who has urged Americans to exercise more and eat healthier, has a new project: encouraging the public to drink more water.
The first lady will travel to the appropriately named Watertown, Wis., for an event Thursday to promote her effort.
“Her core message is going to be that drinking more water is the best and easiest choice that we can make every day,” said Sam Kass, executive director of Let’s Move, the first lady’s health advocacy group. “Water is our original energy drink.”
Officials outlined the water push to reporters in a background briefing Wednesday.
