New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and his wife, Mary Pat, will visit President Trump at the White House Tuesday afternoon.
The Christies will dine with Trump over lunch in the Presidential Dining Room. The announcement that the former 2016 GOP presidential contender is meeting Trump comes a day after Christie told CNN that he had "absolutely no intention" of joining Trump's White House.
Following Trump's November victory, Christie had been floated as Trump's nominee for attorney general, which ended up going to Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.
Christie was ultimately never hired for a Cabinet position and has laid low in the months since. It's unknown what three will discuss.
