The House has named a Capitol meeting room for Gabriel Zimmerman, an aide to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and one of six people killed in January in a shooting attack that left the Arizona congresswoman severely injured.

The vote was 419-0.

The resolution to name the meeting room in the Capitol Visitor Center after Zimmerman was offered by Florida Democrat Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a close friend of Giffords, who was shot in the head by a gunman outside a Tucson supermarket.

Congress previously named a courthouse in Yuma, Ariz., after John Roll, a federal judge who also was killed in the attack.
