Hill Press Secretaries Learn of Tragedy on Bus from NY to DC

Fox has learned that about 40 press secretaries from the bipartisan Press Secretaries Association were on a bus coming back from NY to DC when the news of the Giffords' shooting came down.

One press secretary who asked not to be identified, shared the following...

"(They) were on their blackberries following the second-by-second tweets and breaking news updates. Each time a development occurred, there were gasps, sighs, and "Did you hear?...I can't believe it" expressions. The most commotion was made when reports of Rep. Giffords' supposed death had been reported. You could hear numerous whispers, "She died?"
