Foxnews.com will carry Friday's New Jersey gubernatorial debate live, with special coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Incumbent Gov. Jon Corzine, a Democrat, will be joined in the debate by Chris Christie, the Republican nominee, and former U.S. Attorney Chris Daggett, an independent candidate. The debate will take place on the Wayne campus of William Paterson University.

This will be the second and last sanctioned debate among the candidates in the closely watched, tightly contested race.

The campaign has gotten ugly in the run-up to the election, with a recent Corzine ad appearing to draw attention to Christie's weight. The narrator in the ad said Christie "threw his weight around" to avoid traffic tickets.

Ahead of the debate, Christie hit back at Corzine in an interview with Fox News.

"The people of New Jersey, many of whom struggle with their weight as well -- and it's a lifetime struggle for many of us -- understand that it doesn't affect the way you work," he said.

But Corzine denies making weight an issue.

"The issue of how people are presented in political advertisements is not something anybody likes when they're in it," Corzine said.

Live Foxnews.com coverage begins with a special pre-debate discussion to be hosted by Fox News Channel anchor Jamie Colby. A live stream of the 90-minute debate follows at 7 p.m., with post-debate analysis from 8:30-9 p.m.
