The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee will announce Monday its best fundraising numbers ever for an off-year November, after bringing in $5.1 million for the month.
The committee, the campaign arm for Senate Democrats, raised $48.6 million so far this year and ended November with $12 million in the bank.
“The reckless and irresponsible Republican agenda remains wildly unpopular, and Democrats across the country are energized," DSCC Executive Director Guy Cecil said in a statement. "The Koch brothers are aggressively blanketing the airwaves in a few key battleground races, but we are raising the resources to fight back."
The Koch-backed group Americans For Prosperity has so far spent $1.6 million in Louisiana, where Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu faces a tough re-election bid, and $3.5 million in North Carolina attacking Sen. Kay Hagan, another highly vulnerable Democratic incumbent.
