Congressional Calendar September 13, 2010

The Senate returns from its August recess Monday at 2:30 p.m. ET.  They’ll meet for morning business then hold debate and a vote for the nomination of Jane Stranch to be a U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals judge.

The Senate Impeachment Trial Committee will hold a hearing at 8:00 a.m. ET on the impeachment trial of Judge G. Thomas Porteous.  Porteous, a district court judge appointed by President Clinton, is accused of “repeatedly” committing perjury throughout the course of a bankruptcy proceeding and taking cash and other gifts from lawyers that appeared before him in court.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner addresses the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute at 9:10 a.m. ET.  He’ll be continuing to sell the administration’s economic plan to the public and urge Congress to pass a pending small business bill and extend the Bush tax cuts for the middle class.

We’re just getting started back on the Hill, so be sure to check back with Fox News for all the latest.
