The Senate is out of session Friday, but there will be some movement in the upper chamber of Congress. Governor Joe Manchin, D-W. Va., will appoint a replacement for the late Sen. Robert Byrd. That appointee will serve until the people of West Virginia select a permanent replacement in a special election, which could occur as early as November.

House members are going to have a meeting with trade association lobbyists: not news. They’re going to stream it live on the Internet: news. House Republicans will meet at 10:00 a.m. ET with K Streeters to discuss the state of the economy. House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Illinois Reps. Aaron Schock and Peter Roskam will answer questions from the press after the meeting.

The calendar may be a bit thin, but we’ll still have plenty of developments to share, so stay with Fox News for the latest.
