Hillary Clinton said Sunday she understands that voters question if she's running for them or for herself.
"There's an underlying question, I think, that's in the back of people's mind," Clinton said on CNN's "State of the Union." "Is she in it for us, or is she in it for herself?"
Clinton was responding to a question about how she can win over independent voters, a section of the U.S. electorate she has struggled to rally. She said she's going to do what she's "always done" by continuing to reach out to voters to explain who she really is.
