Recently, we told you that this year's Easter-time White House staple, the annual Easter Egg Roll, will be held on April 5, with the theme of "Ready, Set, Go!" to promote health and wellness.

But did you know that the cast of the TV musical/comedy show Glee may be one of the event's performers? It's not a done deal yet, but Fox publicity tells us that, indeed, the White House has extended an invitation.

The tradition began in 1878 under President Rutherford B. Hayes and has continued ever since. Each year, the President opens up the White House South Lawn to children 12 and younger, and their parents, to literally roll their eggs with spoons in a race. The Easter Bunny also makes an appearance and there is food and games all around.

Clearly, with the possible addition of the Glee cast, the event is taking on a modern edge. There's no telling who else might show up, but the White House promises more fun details on performers as the date approaches, which means that the already tough ticket is likely to get even tougher to snag! The online ticket lottery opens Thursday.
