Previously, Travis founded the national multimedia sports platform OutKick in 2011, which was purchased by Fox Corporation in 2021. Travis played an integral part in the platform’s success and hosted OutKick the Show, where he provided his authentic and unfiltered opinion. After five years following Fox Corporation's acquisition of OutKick, Travis departed the platform in June 2026.  

Travis also hosts OutKick the Show with Clay Travis on FS1 on Wednesday evenings at 6 PM/ET and is the co-host of "The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show," a three-hour conservative radio talk program syndicated across radio stations nationwide.

Formerly, Travis launched OutKick the Coverage on Fox Sports Radio, which included interviews and listener interactions and started an iHeartRadio Original Podcast called Wins & Losses that featured in-depth conversations with the biggest names in sports.

He is also the author of Balls as well as American Playbook, Republicans Buy Sneakers, On Rocky Top, and Dixieland Delight.

Travis is a graduate of George Washington University and earned his law degree from Vanderbilt Law School. He resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
