He served as Legal Adviser to the U.S. Department of State from 2025 to 2026 and previously served as Deputy Associate Attorney General, General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Education, and Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury. He has more than 30 years of experience in private practice and government.
