Hispanics groups have said President Barack Obama privately promised them at least two of his cabinet nominees would be Latino.

But so far, one person, Labor Secretary nominee Thomas Perez, has been nominated. Republicans said they are disappointed with the selection of Perez and have held up the process – leaving his future uncertain.
