The only fair sentence is to have him live in a halfway house in Manhattan and to have him clean the homes, offices and apartments of those he bilked.
Can you image Bernie Madoff cleaning the toilet bowls in the restrooms of Hadassah? Hadassah, the Jewish women's organization lost $90 million dollars. What good does it do for Mr. Madoff to sit reading in the prison library? Does it do any good for anyone but him? Jail is an old punishment from centuries ago. Let restitution begin.
