Five people were wounded, including two critically, and two suspected gunmen were killed in a shooting Friday in the southern West Bank, officials said.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that it responded to a shooting in the Judea Junction area Friday and killed two people it identified as "terrorists."

Hours after the attack, Israel ordered the army to prepare for a full closure of the West Bank, according to the Associated Press.

Death toll rises to 2 after attack on Saudi airport

The death toll from Wednesday’s attack on King Fahd International Airport in eastern Saudi Arabia has risen to two.

Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation authority said the victims were a Saudi citizen and an Indian national living in the kingdom, according to the Associated Press. Another eight people were injured in the attack, the agency said.

Houthi rebels reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack on Telegram on Thursday, adding that their forces also targeted the Saudi Defense Ministry in the capital, Riyadh, as well as an Aramco facility in Yanbu, where a fire broke out. However, the group did not provide any evidence of the strike on the ministry, according to the AP.

The incident comes after another airport, King Khalid International Airport, was targeted in another suspected Houthi missile attack earlier this month, which reportedly killed 14 people and prompted the airport to close.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
