When a rescue service posted a snarky ad touting the “World’s Worst Cat,” some questioned if the sourpuss could find a fur-ever home. Well, naysayers should doubt no more — the finicky feline has been adopted.

'WORLD'S WORST CAT' RECEIVES LOTS OF ADOPTION APPLICATIONS

North Carolina’s Mitchell County Animal Rescue went viral last month after running a hilarious Facebook adv for the adoption of Perdita, aka the “World’s Worst Cat.”

“We thought she was sick, turns out she’s just a jerk,”  the post read, adding that the grumpy cat hated everything from “the color pink, kittens (yuk they are so chipper), dogs, children, the Dixie Chicks, Disney movies, Christmas and last but NOT least…HUGS.”

Amber Lowery, the shelter’s executive director, told CNN, “We thought if we highlighted [her personality] in a humorous way, the person with a personality to match hers can adopt.”

Their candor worked like a charm — as the shelter received more than 175 applications for Perdita, according to a Facebook update posted last month.

Mitchell County Animal Rescue finally settled on Joe and Betty (last names withheld) from Monroe County, Tennessee, who’ve changed her name to Noel, “just in case the name Perdita is the cause of her anger,” it was announced in a Facebook post Saturday.

They added, “She wouldn’t let us take adoption photos in our photo booth — she just growled and ran out of the room.”

The social media hordes were quick to send the “World’s Worst Cat” their salutations. “Happy Tails, you ornery girl!” wrote one well-wisher on Facebook. “Kudos to Mitchell County Animal Rescue for their creative bluntly honest ad which helped find Perdita a loving home,” added another.
