Perhaps nowhere was President Barack Obama's historic trip to Cuba better documented than on the Instagram page of the White House photographer, Pete Souza.

It was the first visit to the island nation made by a sitting U.S. president in 88 years, and Souza had intimate access to the president, First Lady Michelle Obama, and their daughters, Malia and Sasha, during their three days there. Souza accompanied Obama as he met with Cuban President Raúl Castro, toured old Havana in a black sedan that got nicknamed "The Beast" and cheered during an exhibition baseball game between Cuba's national team and the Tampa Bay Rays.

One of the more enlightening images from the trip was a sweet father-daughter moment in which Malia, 17, was helping to translate for her father during a talk with a Cuban at a restaurant on Sunday evening.
